It’s very appropriate that this will be my final post for a little while as I am about to head over to Greece for 2 months and this is very much about travel and pursuit of goals. I have always admired people who have the courage to pick up their lives and move to the other side of the world, leaving their family and friends all in pursuit of a dream. This dream is perhaps the biggest dream of all. The shinning lights of New York.

Bel & Pete are some dear friends of mine and when Bel asked me if I would help capture their farewell I couldn’t say no. However Pete did leave something up his sleeve when he surprised us all by proposing to Bel the night before. So what was going to be a simple farewell turned into an engagement party involving games, singing, drinks and the unfortunate kidnapping of one Garden Frog.

Guys, you are dearly missed, but we all know you are doing something you love and have been chasing for many years. I know the best part is that you are there together and helping turn each others dreams into reality.

Emma. Josh. WOW! It is very hard for me to find the right words to truly some up what a weekend I had with you. I really didn’t want the weekend to be over and am grateful that you trusted me with capturing this special time for you.

To all of the family & friends who opened their arms, hearts and alcoholic beverages with me. THANK YOU! Your openness and kindness allowed me to be myself and capture Emma & Josh at their greatest. Don’t underestimate the role you have all played in help telling their story. None of what follows would have been possible without each and every one of you. THANK YOU!

I will leave you with some of the dream Emma shared during her speech:

As I am sitting here trying to think of things to write I keep getting a grin on my face remembering all the friendships created and fun I got to be apart of. I cannot even begin to sum up in words the amazing day that is below so I simply want to thank the people who opened their arms and hearts. You all helped me, in some way, tell Rosie and Toby’s story and I cannot thank you enough for being yourselves and letting me in.

A special thanks must go out to Hazel O’Conner. It was her kind words that led Rosie and Toby to me. Without her, the images below would be a distant thought and a story never told. Hazel, thank you.

Rosie and Toby. What can I say but the most sincerest thank you from the bottom of my heart. As you read this (wherever you are in the world) just know you both made me so proud to be apart of your day. The loving embrace your friends and family showed me is a true reflection of the relationship you have created with the people in your life. They are bonds that cannot be broken by distance or time. So even though you are currently far away from your family exploring the world together, I hope these photos take you back to a time when everyone you hold dear came together to celebrate YOU!

This post is very special and personal. Brendan and I navigated our way through the perils of high school together and I am very proud to say we are still great friends. I can remember the time all the way back when these two started dating. Fast forward now some 12 years and they are a couple of months away from making it “official”. I will have the great joy of attending their wedding as a guest (which doesn’t happen often) but I wanted give my little touch to something that they can call their own. Love you guys!

I haven’t written anything lately and there is a good reason. Both Kelly and I have been crazy busy with both work and entering the NSW/ACT AIPP Awards. Thankfully things seem to be returning to some sort of normality (or at least the normality that we have become accustomed too).

I’ll begin with Katyana & Tim who got hitched in the Southern Highlands. So I’m driving to Burrawang not exactly knowing what to expect. I turn off the highway and before me a lush, rolling green hills dotted with quaint farms. Kind of reminded me of the The Shire in Lord of the Rings. Not too manicured but well looked after. This initial image set the tone for the rest of the day. Throw in a little bit of celebrity house hunting, horses, storms and fun, genuine people and you end up with something that goes a little bit like this….
